Finding Books and Other Materials in the NEOS Library Catalogue
NEOS is a group of 18 libraries in Northern Alberta that share a single online catalogue. To find items in the Concordia collection, you need to search this online catalogue.
Enter the title of the book or other relevant keywords (subject keywords, author's name etc.). Typically, the more words you enter, the less results you get. Choose words carefully and experiment with variant spellings, synonyms, and alternate concepts.
Optional steps:
Select title, author, or subject in the "any field" drop-down menu to make your search more specific. "Any field" is the most open-ended option and retrieves the most results.
Select the type of material you would like to find (e.g. books, DVDs, etc.) using the "any format" menu.
Select Concordia Library to limit your results to the Concordia collection.
Click "Search". From the results list click on book titles to view their call numbers and availability status. You will need the call number to locate the item in the library.
Take note of the collection that the book is in - there are separate areas in the library for Parish Services materials, Oversize materials, Reference materials, Media (CDs, DVDs, Videos) and Curriculum materials. Please consult library signage or ask for directions to locate specific collections.
