Benefits of library partnerships

All students, faculty and staff can gain access to material from libraries across the country through the partnerships Concocorida University College of Alberta Library has with other libraries.

With your Concordia Card you can:

Borrow from any NEOS library –

  • Search our catalogue, and you can place a hold on almost any NEOS library book and it will be sent to Concordia (normally within about 2 days).
  • Use your card to borrow materials at any of the these NEOS locations.

Borrow from Edmonton Public Library (EPL) with The L-Pass

  • Activate your free L-Pass  and use your Concordia card as as public library card at any EPL branch to check out books, movies, or music.
  • The L-Pass also gives you access to all of EPL's online content including, ebooks, audiobooks, movies, music, and even online classes. 

Get a TAL card –

  • Ask for a TAL card from the Circulation Desk  and you will be able to borrow books from almost any library in the province. 
  • The Alberta Library (TAL) negotiates cheaper pricing for some of the ejournal packages you depend on to finish your assignments. 

Get a COPPUL card

  • The Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries (COPPUL) card allows you to borrow from academic libraries in western canada.
  •  If you are planning to spend your summer in another western Canadian city (with a university), it is worthwhile ask about getting a COPPUL card at the Circulation Desk.
