Finding Journal Articles

Finding Articles Using E-Resources

  1. To find journal, magazine, or newspaper articles click a subject link under E-Resources on the Library Home Page.
  2. The resources listed will contain different types of content (newspapers, magazines, scholarly journals, etc.). Click the info icon to learn more about each resource.
  3. Recommended resources are listed first. These are your best options for the topic you have chosen.
  4. Click the title of the resource you want to use. If you are off-campus see this page for details of connecting off-campus.
  5. Each resource may appear slightly different, although most will present you with a search box to enter words related to your topic.
  6. For help searching a specific e-resource, look for a "Help" link or icon. For in-person assistance, click here for options.
  7. Once you have performed a search, review the results. Each listing should provide you with the article title, journal title, author names, and the date when the article was published.
  8. Typically you can review more detailed information about an article by clicking on the title.
  9. If a full-text (either HTML or PDF) version of the article is available, you will be presented with a link to it. If not, click the "Where Can I Find This?" link to view other options.
  10. Don't forget to use the Concordia Journals List, or the Article Finder as well. These tools can help you locate materials if you already know the article's title, author, or journal title.
