Concordia’s librarians are happy to provide research instruction sessions that are tailored to the specific research needs of your class.
CUE instructors are encouraged to identify materials that support the learning outcomes of their courses and to ask library staff to order them.
Already, students have been saved an estimated $29,750 by instructors who are participating in the OATA Pilot Program.
The Alberta Open Educational Resources initiative has provided me with the opportunity to incorporate open educational resources into PESS 293 (Introduction to Movement Activities of Children Aged 5–12). From the student perspective, the initiative has resulted in a significant saving by not having to purchase a required textbook, and at the same time has introduced students to pertinent and relevant online information sources. From my perspective, the OER initiative has afforded me a unique opportunity to work with Dan Mirau, CUE’s Library Director, to research online resources that support the delivery of comprehensive course content.
