A Request for Books & Baked Goods

This is just a little reminder for those who were thinking of donating books or baked goods to the library’s United Way sale on Wednesday. And THANK YOU to everyone who’ve already donated! 

On Wednesday, November 22 the library will be selling books and baked goods in Tegler from 11 am – 1 pm.

All of the proceeds from these sales will be donated to the United WayAnd because our Book & Bake Sale is taking place during the CSA’s Harry Potter Week, we are incorporating the Harry Potter theme into our event.

To help us out, please consider donating books or baked goods to our fundraiser.

To donate baked goods or treats:

  • Baked goods can be dropped off at the library on November 22nd
  • Less perishable treats (such as candies or chocolates) can be dropped off earlier
  • Both homemade and store bought treats are welcome!
  • Harry Potter themed treats are absolutely not required but are encouraged if you are feeling inclined to do so.
To donate books:
  • Books can be dropped off at the library any time before November 22nd
  • We just ask that the books be in decent & sellable condition

Our library catalog is intermittently crashing but we are doing everything possible to resolve this technical issue as quickly as possible.

Concordia Library Is Now Open Late

 Concordia Library’s New Hours

  • Mon -Thurs: 7:30 am – 12:00 am
  • Fri: 7:30 am – 9:00 pm
  • Sat: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm
  • Sun: 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Thanks to funding provided in part by the Concordia Students’ Association, Concordia Library is now open later! 

Our late hours begin on Tuesday, March 21st and will continue until the end of this semester’s final exams. These hours will resume once again at the beginning of the Fall 2017 semester.

What to expect when you are staying late at the library:

  • Mon – Thurs: 9 pm – 12 am, Fri: 5 pm – 9 pm, Sat-Sun: 6 pm – 9 pm
  • Your ID card is required for entry into the library
  • The entrance to the library will be locked, please knock to be let in
  • You will be required to register at the LIbrary Service Desk upon entry
  • No Library or IT Services will be available

Concordia Library Is Hiring: Library Student Space Monitors

Concordia Library is seeking two Concordia University of Edmonton students to work the following hours:

  • 8:30 pm – 12:00 am Monday – Thursday
  • 4:30 pm – 9:00 pm Friday
  • 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Reporting to the Library Director, the Library Student Space Monitors are responsible for monitoring and registering students using library study spaces during extended hours and for contacting CUE security if any issues emerge.

Concordia Library is  collecting new or gently used items for the Bissell Centre. If you have item's you would like to donate, you can drop off items at our Christmas tree until Dec 20th. 

Our tree is located right inside the library's main entrance.
